Elric, Brian and Phil are joined by Film Critic and writer Kim Morgan to discuss the calendar for February 2019 for the New Beverly. This month, the Bev has lots of fun stuff for cinephiles including a wonderful tribute to actor Burt Reynolds. Kim Morgan has written for Sight & Sound, The Criterion Collection, Playboy, The Los Angeles Review of Books, The New Beverly Cinema Blog, her own Blog ‘Sunset Gun’ and many other outlets and has just finished a screenplay adaptation of William Lindsay Gresham's Novel NIGHTMARE ALLEY with Guillermo del Toro for a new feature he is slated to direct. 

Elric and Brian are joined by filmmaker and cinephile Sean Baker (THE FLORIDA PROJECT, TANGERINE, STARLET) to talk about some feature film debuts that they like very much! Five films because each and quite a variety of cinema to be had in this group - newer and older!
